Our client is a leading, innovation-driven Pharmaceutical corporation that is committed to developing a growing portfolio of best-in-class and first-in-class pharmaceutical products to help people live longer, healthier and more active lives has an immediate opening in the Indianapolis area for a Technical Writer.
Purpose of Role
Technical Writer(s) produce system documentation from the content provided by subject-matter experts (SMEs). They also assist subject matter experts (SMEs) in creating quality documentation by providing guidance on format.
Results Expected:
â€ËËœ Thorough, succinct, clear, and compliant documentation completed within expected timelines
â€ËËœ Guiding others in the creation and/or delivery of required documentation
Scope of Work: IT-specific documentation, including but not limited to the following:
o Governance documents
o Validation and/or qualification documentation required for any project, such as plans, scripts, cases, reports, matrices
o Supporting documentation, such as training materials, forms, and templates Level of Influence
Project Team Type of Work: Technical writers are primarily concerned with creating and editing system documentation. This work falls under three general categories:
â€ËËœ Draft, review and/or edit system documentation
o Gathering SME content
o Selecting templates and populating with content
o Reformatting documents Reviewing documents for correct formatting and
compliance to document standards and guidelines
o Providing feedback to author
o Editing document directly
o Questioning unclear content
o Proposing changes
â€ËËœ Providing input/creating documentation standards, guidelines, templates. An individual is expected to build and demonstrate these specific capabilities by performing these activities and tasks in this role, as opportunity allows.

â€ËËœ Supports and/or contributes to the design, development, and delivery of end user training and/or procedures
â€ËËœ Revise documents to support the resolution of incidents (TTs) within committed service levels
â€ËËœ Revise documents in support of the execution of change requests in compliance with local change control procedures
â€ËËœ Be appropriately qualified to do your job
â€ËËœ Operate with a quality mindset (capable, in control, compliant, and continuously improving)
