Description:
Through Diverse Staffing, a downtown company is looking for an experienced CNC operator who will be a good fit in their professional and clean atmosphere.
- The individual will be running Mandelli or Okuma lathes/mills.
- Candidate can expect to be making parts for pumps.
- The individual will not have to write the programs, but needs to know more than simple offsets and spindle speeds.
- Cycle times can be as long as 2 hours; therefore, there will be free time in which it is necessary to keep the machining area clean and orderly.
- They do not have to hold tight tolerances like other facilities, because of the water/pressure pumps that they produce.
- The company will look at someone fresh out of school, but the candidate would have to bring in a project that well demonstrates their potential.
Requirements:
- The individual must know GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and be able to read blueprints.
- They must also know either complex M codes/G codes or conversational programming edits such as load programs, decimal missing, no "0", etc.
- Steel toes and safety goggles are required.
