Through Diverse Staffing, one of our downtown companies is looking for an experienced maintenance technician.
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician/Crane Service Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair indoor hoist and crane equipment in compliance with Corporate and Regulatory standards. They will focus on continuous improvement and communicate with internal and external customers in alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Inspect industrial crane and hoist equipment to ensure compliance with Manufacturing, OSHA and ANSI standards.
-Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade overhead material handling equipment and electrical equipment by evaluating, conducting tests, identifying problems and resolutions; install, calibrate, tune and troubleshoot various systems.
-Perform, record, and track preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
-Support internal and external customers by effectively communicating with vendors, office and plant personnel.
-Move material as required via rigging or forklift; Pick-up or deliver material using a car or truck.
-Train in accordance with industry standards.
-Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Schedule, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
Requirements:
-Strong knowledge of motor controls, sensory devices in various equipment applications and fluid power; Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions.
-Able to perform various types of electrical, mechanical and fluid power repairs including but not limited to running wires and conduit.
-Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and assembly.
-Able to be certified in the usage of Forklifts, Hazardous Materials and Personal Protective Equipment; Able to be Welding Certified;
-Able to lift up to 40 pounds; Able to work at heights, bend, squat, sit, walk and stand; Basic computer skills.
-High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred.
-3-5 years previous experience in similar environment
-Valid Driver's License
