This position exists to perform a combination of contract, performance and relationship management duties with strategic vendors providing products, hardware, software and services. The primary focus is on optimizing and aligning the business value received from vendors and product/service agreements, working across the organization to identify and recommend remediation of under performing vendors and making recommendations to expand high performing vendor relationships. Leads and supports the contracting lifecycle from the initial procurement strategy to negotiation of contractual agreements with service suppliers to ensure consistent short & long-term services contracts and to ensure that cost and compliance objectives are met.
Requirements:
o Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
o Requires high level of communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
o Requires a minimum of ten years progressive experience buying or selling services within a large corporation.
o Requires a thorough understanding of operational processes associated with the delivery of services and related, key performance indicators.
o Requires an in-depth knowledge of various services industries, their offerings, practices, operations and cost structures.
o Requires the ability to thrive in a high-intensity work environment.
o Requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer applications.
o Requires effective critical thinking, negotiation and presentation skills.
o Requires the ability to work effectively with all levels of leadership/employees.
o Requires interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Project Management certification preferred (PMI-PMP certification).
