Description:
The responsibility of this position is to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and stabilize the production equipment in order to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of production.
The individual in this position will:
-Install, maintain, test, modify, build, troubleshoot, repair, and operate production equipment that utilizes hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, injection molding, mold design programmable controllers, computer numerical controls, microprocessors, power supplies, chemicals, ultraviolet inks, etc.
-Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports, charts, graphs, and schematics to describe system function or malfunction.
-Use tools to maintain equipment, make needed machine repairs, modify existing wiring or circuits, and install new machinery as required.
-Observe, record, and analyze data and documents according to the company's procedure.
-Recognize and recommend potential cost savings and methods improvements that are apparent.
-Safeguard all operating equipment that could result in injuries, production downtime, quality of products, and costs.
-Understand and apply the company's requirements for quality, environmental management, health and safety management, KPI's, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
Requirements:
-A minimum of an associate's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent practical work experience within the discipline preferred.
-Work experience in, and understand the principles associated with, electronics technology, injection molding, hydraulics theory, screen printing, robotic manufacturing, and quality control.
-Possess an understanding of the mathematical and technical principles relating to the requirements and responsibilities of the job function.
-Interpersonal skills are necessary to foster cooperation and to effectively communicate with others.
-The ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Possess the ability to use sound judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding problems and determine what action must be taken.
-Incumbents in this position may also be required to have and maintain safety certifications.
